President's Message
Hello Everyone! It's time once again to put the next BUGS meeting on your calendar. The meeting will be held at 1:00 PM until around 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2011 in Room 105 of the Shelby Research Building on the UAB campus. Chevell Parker from SAS Technical Support in Cary, NC will speak on "The Perfect Marriage: The SASR Output Delivery System (ODS) and Microsoft Office. " If you have some tough SAS questions, Chevell is probably the person to ask. You will not want to miss his presentation. Dues are welcome but not mandatory for this meeting. Refreshments will be provided. The SouthEast SAS Users Group (SESUG) conference, SESUG 2011, was held on October 23 thru October 25, 2011 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia. It was one of the best attended SESUG conferences ever with over 450 users. The program was extensive with over 100 papers, demos, and panel discussions. Plan now to attend SESUG 2012 to be held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Raleigh/Durham, NC on October 14-16, 2012. Some of the conference activities will be held on the SAS Campus at Cary, NC. And of course, don't forget SAS Global Forum to be held at the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Swan Resort in Orlando, FL on April 22-25, 2012. With the introduction of SAS version 9.3 and the many changes in SAS, it's a great time to participate in BUGS, SESUG, and SAS Global Forum. Learning never stops for SAS technologists. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks and see you on December 8, David Maddox Birmingham Users Group for SASDecember 8, 2011 meeting at UAB
